Wind Heater

Author: Dave Bedore

Location: USA

2010-03-05

As I lay in my bed during the winter in our Minnesota home, I hear the wind just howling outside and wish that it could be put to use providing heat to our home instead of just making it colder and causing our furnace to have to run constantly. It was this experience that caused me to try and think of a simple way to put the cold wind to work helping people heat their homes and save money during the long heating season.

The result of that thought process was the WISSH or Wind System for Supplemental Heat. It is a simple idea that could help a lot of people and the earth at the same time. I get tired of hearing about the rising cost of heating homes and the people who are constantly struggling to pay the high cost of having a home that is warm enough to live in. This may be an idea to help in many ways.

My name is Dave Bedore. I live with my wife and family in Brandon, MN. I have just applied for a provisional patent on the WISSH and am looking to license the invention.

Description of the Wind System for Supplemental Heat (WISSH) The Wind System for Supplemental Heat (WISSH) involves a 12- or 24-volt wind generator mounted on a residential, business or public building and directly wired to a 12- or 24-volt heater/fan. The wiring will reach the heater/fan by mounting it and inserting it into the building through a safely drilled hole which will then be sealed.

The wind generator, when being turned by the wind, will produce electricity used by the heater/fan to provide heat or air movement in the building.

The invention is simple: A wind generator directly wired to a heater providing heat whenever the wind blows without having to go through a battery.
