Semi-Truck Hybrid

Author: Tom Kissack

Location: Spokane WA

2010-12-07

I notice driving that all semi-trucks power comes from the truck itself and the trailer is simply pulled.

There are 18 wheels spinning. Why not have the rim made of copper and the hub have a magnet to produce an electrical current flowing directly to the engine?

18 wheels with that many rpms could drastically reduce the amount of fuel it would take to run the engine.
