I have an idea for creating steam power with magnifying glass heating water pipe to create steam to run generators.
Has anyone done this yet?

This is being done on a large scale in Spain for some time. Mirrors are used to reflect the light up to a boiler. SEE: http://www.statesadvancingsolar.org/technologies/concentrated-solar I believe there is also a patent out on a magnifying glass that heats the base of a heat transfer generator.
